| Bourgas - University "Prof. Assen Zlatarov" - Burgas Bourgas Prof. Assen Zlatarov University is a state institution, founded in 1963 as Higher Institute of Chemical Technology. It was transformed into Bourgas Prof. Assen Zlatarov University in 1995.
Students are trained in 27 subjects in 3 faculties and 3 colleges and obtain Specialist (3 years of study), Bachelor (4 years of study), Master (5 years of study) and PhD (3 years of study after Master) degrees.

| Plovdiv - Agricultural University Началото на висшето агрономическо образование в България се поставя през 1921 г. в София с откриването на Агрономически факултет към университета.
С Указ на регентския съвет от 4 август 1945 г., публикуван в ДВ от 20 август 1945 г., в Пловдив е разкрит университет с два факултета – медицински и агрономо-лесовъден, а през 1950 г. се създава самостоятелен Висш селскостопански институт “Васил Коларов”. В него тогава работят 7 професори, 9 доценти, 26 асистенти, от които 5 доктори. Сред преподавателския състав са утвърдени и доказани учени с международна известност като професорите Христо Даскалов, Павел Попов и др. | Sofia - Technical University of Sofia Half a century ago, by Decree No.237 (State Gazette Iss. 248/ 24.10.1945) of the National Assembly of Bulgaria, the State Polytechnic was founded having a Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with 4 divisions: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial chemistry and mining and geology.
In 1953 Decree No. 231/10.06.1953 regulated the formation of four higher institutes of learning on the basis of the former State Polytechnic. One of these was the Institute of Mechanical and Electrical engineering with two Faculties: that of Mechanical Engineering and of Electrical engineering.
In 1956 the Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering - Sofia was renamed into the Higher Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
